FINE SEMI-ANTIQUE BELOUCH PRAYER RUG from the oasis of Seistan on the south east Persia /Afghan border. Lustrous wools, excellent condition and complete with original kelim borders. Reference 1412. Size 128 x 95cms. €650.

ANTIQUE BELOUCH RUG. A piece dating from the early 1900's and woven by Belouch of the region of Firdaus which is an oasis town in the north east Persian province of Khorrassan. The dyes are natural with especially rich indigo blue. The brown centre panel appears to be natural camel hair. Reference 1835. 147 x 84cms. €380.

ERSARI PRAYER RUG A very old piece with exceptional colouring, especially the saffron yellow and indigo. The piece is in excellent condition and bears the date AH1314 together with a long inscription (part shown here) across the top of the rug. I am currently working on the translation and welcome any help. The piece is from northern Afghanistan, first half of the 20th century. Reference 1751, Size 152 x 97cms., €1,250.

PERSIAN KURDISH TRIBAL RUG Old tribal rug probably from the region of Karadja in north west Persia. Hand spun wool and foundation and nice supple feel. Reference 1803. 216 x 104cms. €650.
