PERSIAN GABEH TRIBAL BAG this small bag or "chanteh" was woven by Lurs in south west Persia in the early 20th century. It has a striped kilim back. Reference 1867. 27 x 30cms. Euros 180.

LURI PERSIAN TRIBAL BAG A rare and small purse or jewellery bag made by Lurs in the region of Nazarabad in south west Persia. The face and reverse are completely different designs and one shows an interesting portrayal of a goat. Both sides are piled and have excellent, lustrous wools. Reference 1865. 19 x 18cms. Euros 280.

CAMEL HEAD DRESS - PERSIAN KURDISH OR LURI an extraordinary example which is complete with original hand beaten metal rings and plaited ropes. In addition to the main vertical spike there is an additional smaller cap surmounted by a blue ceramic bead and horse hair tassel. The condition is perfect. Pieces with similar characteristics can be seen on Plates 103 and 104 of "HORSE AND CAMEL TRAPPINGS FROM TRIBAL IRAN" by Parviz Tanavoli. Reference 1880. 66cms from top to tassels and 42cms wide.
