UZBEK ARTEFACT A beautifully embroidered little piece. Square weavings of this size are often used as wall hangings - however, this has an oval shape and a slit in the fabric in the centre. The slit allows the piece to be placed over the head of a young baby to rest on the shoulders. Reference 1846. Size 40 x 34cms.. €45

Uzbek tent trapping This is a magnificent and very rare example of Uzbek Suzani work and is complete with the original hanging loops from which it would be suspended over the doorway of a tent for ceremonial occasions. It is in impeccable condition and dates from the early 1900's. Reference 81856. Size 140cms. high, 210cms across. Euros 2,550.

Uzbek tent trapping A very fine and intricate ceremonial trapping from the early 1900's The embroidery is finely worked and the piece is embellished with buttons and metal thread. The outstanding tassle work contains many cowry shells. Reference 1854. 54 x 240 cms. Euros 625.

CAMEL HEAD DRESS TRAPPING very rare old example from the Pakistan Punjab. The 43 tassles are each finished with a loop of horse hair. The 1977 textbook "Threadlines Pakistan" features a saddle cloth with similiar technique on page 41. Reference 1857 Size 100x40 cms Euros 585.

Thai Tribal bag. A recent piece featuring intricate embroidery. The coin is Burmese which will indicate that this piece was made by a hill tribe in northern Thailand. Reference 1858 Size 20x18cms Euros 45.-
